From October 13 to 18, Kamianets-Podilskyi Ivan Ohiienko National University joined the global celebration of #ErasmusDays2025 – an initiative that unites participants of the Erasmus+ Programme from all over Europe. Throughout the week, a variety of events were held at the university, helping students realize that Erasmus+ is not only about mobility, but also about values, development, and the future.
The marathon began with the quest “The Road to European Values”, during which first- and second-year students had the opportunity to experience and reflect on how values such as Freedom, Equality, Human Dignity, Respect for Human Rights, and the Rule of Law are manifested in everyday life.
The next day, the university community took part in a meeting with Erasmus Alumni, who shared their personal stories of studying at partner universities in Poland, Slovenia, Slovakia, and Italy. Students from the Faculty of Special Education, Psychology and Social Work and the Educational and Scientific Institute of Ukrainian Philology and Journalism (Anastasiia Antoniuk and Anastasiia Prysiazhniuk, Poland), the Faculty of Foreign Philology (Olena Samar, Slovakia and Sofiia Panchuk, Poland), the Faculty of Physical Education (Taras Boiko, Slovenia), and the Faculty of Pedagogics (Anna Lechman, Poland) spoke about their academic experiences, cultural discoveries, and personal transformations that participation in Erasmus+ brings. These meetings became an inspiration for those who only dream of their first international project and a warm nostalgic reminder for those who have already had such an experience.
The #ErasmusDays2025 week continued with the presentation of the EU Erasmus+ project “Supporting Adaptive and Flexible Education for War-Affective Students in Ukraine.” Ohiienko University, together with partners from Lithuania, Germany, Sweden, and Poland, joined in developing trauma-sensitive teaching methods to create a safe and supportive educational environment for students who have experienced the consequences of war.
The fourth day was dedicated to the presentation of Erasmus+ KA171 teaching projects. The meeting focused on the practical outcomes of international academic exchanges for teachers and their impact on the quality of education. Special attention was given to the EU eTwinning Ukraine Programme, which fosters a new generation of teachers ready for international collaboration and joint educational initiatives.
The fifth day celebrated European creativity. Students took part in the vibrant “ErasmusFlag” flashmob, taking photos with the EU flag or other symbols of Europe and sharing them on social media.
The #ErasmusDays2025 week proved that European values are our daily choice, education is our shared path, and international cooperation is the key to a sustainable future.
Live Our Values. Inspire the Future!
