The 25th Winter Olympic Games have concluded, featuring athletes from Kamianets-Podilskyi Ivan Ohiienko National University.
Nelli Popovych, a student of the University and an International Master of Sports of Ukraine, competed in freestyle skiing (aerials discipline) and placed 19th out of 25 competitors. For the 18-year-old Olympic debutant, this is a strong result, especially considering that just one year before the Games Nelly underwent surgery on the cruciate ligaments of her knee. Her greatest victories are still ahead.
University graduate, Honoured Master of Sports of Ukraine Oleksandr Okipniuk, for whom these were his second Olympic Games, competed in freestyle skiing (aerials), finishing 10th in the individual event and 6th in the team event.
