Kamianets-Podilskyi Ivan Ohiienko National University hosted a thematic event titled “eTwinning Day at K-PNU”, dedicated to the EU’s eTwinning Programme, which connects educators from across Europe.
The event opened with welcoming remarks from Svitlana Shytikova, Coordinator of the National Erasmus+ Office in Ukraine, and Svitlana Kalashnikova, Coordinator of the National Support Office for the eTwinning Programme in Ukraine. Both speakers emphasized the relevance and future potential of project-based activities within Ukrainian educational institutions.
The event brought together invited academic staff, pre-service teachers, and schoolteachers from Kamianets-Podilskyi, who learned about the opportunities that eTwinning offers for modern educators at local, national, and international levels. In their presentations, Head of the Office for International Cooperation and Associate Professor Tetiana Storchova, Associate Professor Tetiana Kalyniuk, Head of the Department of German Language, highlighted the benefits of participating in eTwinning projects—particularly for integrating European values into the educational process, preparing future educators, and expanding intercultural dialogue.
During the practical part of the event, students of the Faculty of Foreign Philology, majoring in Secondary Education (English Language and Literature), presented the results of their participation in the eTwinning course “Project-Based Learning with eTwinning & Erasmus+ for Interculturality” at the University of Stuttgart (Germany), as well as in the eTwinning project “Key Skills for Future Employability” at the Ss. Cyril and Methodius University (North Macedonia).
“eTwinning Day at K-PNU” served as an inspiring example of how higher education can unite around the values of democracy, respect, and mutual understanding—showcasing the implementation of internationalization, promoting openness and inclusivity, and contributing to the university’s positive public image.
