Anastasiia Shkvarska – Laureate of the Third Prize at the XI International «PREMIER» Competition in the “Academic Vocal” Category

Master’s student Anastasiia Shkvarska has become the laureate of the Third Prize at the XI International «PREMIER» Competition in the “Academic Vocal” category.

The jury was chaired by Oleksandr Diachenko, Head of the Department of Opera Singing at the Ukrainian National Tchaikovsky Academy of Music, soloist of the Taras Shevchenko National Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet, People’s Artist of Ukraine, and Professor.

Anastasiia performed her competition program live, which included W.A. Mozart’s “Alleluja” from the motet “Exsultate, jubilate”, the Ukrainian folk song “Sered sela dychka” arranged by D. Zadora, Lauretta’s aria “O mio babbino caro” from G. Puccini’s opera “Gianni Schicchi”, “Lukasheva sopilka” by A. Kos-Anatolskyi to the lyrics of Y. Strutskyi, and “Plyve moia dusha” by M. Zherbin to the lyrics of P. Shelley, with a Ukrainian text by N. Tykhyi.

We congratulate Anastasiia on proudly representing the Musical Arts program at Ohiienko University and successfully performing her competition program under the guidance of Professor Maiia Pecheniuk at the «PREMIER» International Competition.

May this victory in such a challenging competition mark the beginning of new achievements and serve as great motivation for Anastasiia to participate in future artistic contests!
