On May 27, a meeting was held where Olha Shapoval, PhD in Philology and Associate Professor in the Department of Germanic Languages and Foreign Literature, together with Oksana Halaibida, PhD in Philology and Associate Professor in the Department of English, shared their experiences as participants in the EU Erasmus+ Program under CA171: International Credit Mobility at the Catholic University in Ružomberok (Slovakia).
The speakers provided an in-depth overview of their impressions and experiences gained through academic mobility and addressed key aspects of the program, including:
- Organizational aspects of the Erasmus+ program: guidance on applying, required documentation, and preparation for internships or teaching abroad.
- Academic experience: insights into teaching and internships at the Catholic University, teaching methods, and their adaptation to the Ukrainian academic context.
- International cooperation: the significance of academic mobility for professional development and the advancement of universities.
- Cultural exchange: reflections on Slovak culture, traditions, and daily life, and how these experiences can enhance both personal and professional growth.
Attendees had the opportunity to ask questions and explore the prospects of participating in similar programs in the future.
This meeting served as an excellent platform to better understand the advantages of the EU Erasmus+ Program, discuss opportunities for international collaboration, and gain inspiration for new academic pursuits. The importance of global knowledge exchange in today’s academic and educational environment was strongly emphasized.
