Tetiana Storchova, Head of the International Relations Department at Kamianets-Podilskyi Ivan Ohiienko National University, has successfully completed participation in the THEA Ukraine X Cohort III project.
The aim of the project is to develop regional capacity in the field of research management and higher education administration with a focus on the internationalisation of higher education; to promote fruitful exchange between Ukrainian and German researchers and practitioners.
The main focus of THEA Ukraine X was to improve the skills of heads of structural units of Ukrainian higher education institutions, who became trainers and increased their competencies in the field of higher education management.
Seven representatives of Ukrainian universities (Sumy State University, Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, Kamianets-Podilskyi Ivan Ohiienko National University, Ukrainian Catholic University, Zaporizhzhia National University, Odesa National Polytechnic University, Ukrainian Academy of Engineering and Pedagogy) developed training concepts based on the planned learning outcomes (Action Plan, Final Training Concept, Workshop Agenda), deepened their knowledge in the relevant areas of internationalisation and management.
Tetiana Storchova, together with Vitalii Kolesnyk, a trainer of the THEA Ukraine X project and a representative of Sumy State University, developed and implemented the idea of Project_HUB(s), which aims to form a community of research and teaching staff ready to implement the tasks of international project activities of the K-PNU, in particular within the Jean Monnet programme of the EU Erasmus+ Programme.
The project lasted from February to September 2024 and included a series of online and offline meetings, including a two-day workshop at the University of Applied Sciences in Münster, Germany.
The preparatory stage at Ohiienko University was implemented in the format of 8 face-to-face meetings with academic staff from all faculties and the Educational and Research Institute, which allowed about 60 teachers to learn about the peculiarities of the international activities of K-PNU and the prospects for project activities.
On 24 April 2024, registration for the two-day Project_HUB training was announced, which allowed us to invite 16 participants based on certain criteria.
The two-day training allowed us to accumulate strength, experience, ideas, invited experienced speakers, which formed the basis for the formation of our community of project thinkers!
On 03 September 2024, the Evaluation Meeting was held, where the project participants as trainers reported on the work done: what happened at the training, the results achieved, the challenges faced, etc.
The training resulted in 8 developed project ideas in the Jean Monnet action area, which are being worked on, a community of teachers ready for project activities, a Project_HUB course on the university’s MOODLE platform, and a dedicated project page.
The project is about prospects, about new and innovative things. Very soon, the International Relations Department will continue its activities within Project_HUB(y), so stay tuned for announcements. A new university cohort of project thinkers is just starting!
Working together for the victory!
