Students of the Department of Theory and Methods of Primary Education of K-PNU visited the Inclusive Resource Center of Kamianets-Podilskyi City Council
On March 06, 2024, as part of the study of the educational component “Methods of work of a teacher’s assistant in an inclusive class”, applicants for the first (bachelor’s) level of higher education of the 3rd year of specialty 013 Primary Education and the Head of the Department of Theory and Methods of Primary Education, PhD of Pedagogic Sciences, Professor Nataliia Bakhmat visited the Inclusive Resource Center (IRC) of the Kamianets-Podilskyi City Council.
Larysa Ilnytska, Director of the IRC, introduced the main areas of work, highlighted the history of the center, its structure, and the main services it provides. Larysa Ilnytska described a number of projects implemented by the IRC staff in Ukraine and abroad.
Larysa Vasylivna’s story was accompanied by interesting facts and touching stories of people who received qualified assistance from the specialists.
Future primary school teachers were interested in the equipment and methodological support of the offices of a psychologist, speech therapist, defectologist, rehabilitation specialist and other specialists. The director focused on the main methods, technologies and forms of work of a teacher’s assistant with children with special educational needs, and told them how to provide comprehensive assistance to students in adapting to life in society.
This meeting and the discussion of important issues related to the work of a teacher’s assistant encouraged many higher education students to take a fresh look at life, the value and uniqueness of each child, and the importance of support and understanding.
The students enhanced their theoretical knowledge of the discipline and consolidated it in practice. This meeting also became a real lesson in humanity, mercy and unity, encouraged reflection on important issues of education, expanded their horizons and gave them an unforgettable experience.
The staff of the Department of Theory and Methods of Primary Education and future primary school teachers express their sincere gratitude to the IRC Head Larysa Vasylivna and her team for cooperation, productive meeting, communication, new experience and interesting information that will contribute to the training of highly qualified specialists in the field of primary education.
