For the second year in a row, the Department of German Language, with the support of the DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service), is a participant of international project «Ukraine digital: Studienerfolg in Krisenzeiten sichern». In cooperation with the University of Giessen (ULU) and the University of Cologne (Universität zu Köln), 17 student international academic mobilities had been implemented and block seminars had been held in the Co-Teaching format during this time.
This year, 7 bachelor and master students in the specialty 014 Secondary education (Language and foreign literature (German) begin their participation in the project. On October 9-13, “Orientation week for international students” (OWIS) was held to support students who were to study at University of Giessen (ULU) for a semester.
Students’ comment: « This format was very useful, because they helped us understand the VIP (Virtual International Program Students) StudIP systems, answered all questions and explained everything in detail. It is very nice to feel this support and to know that we would always get necessary assistance! There was also an interesting activity when we were offered to take a small get-to-know-you test and at the end we saw a diagram where all the countries participating in this program were indicated. I think it’s great when students from different parts of the world have the opportunity to study here together and share experiences! They are ready to dive into learning and discover something new for themselves with confidence and new strength!».
Good luck to students!
