The Faculty of Physics and Mathematics was founded in 1918 as one of the first two faculties of Kamianets-Podilskyi State Ukrainian University. In terms of the number of students, it was the largest faculty of the university. The first dean of the faculty was a famous zoologist – Professor Petro Buchynskyi.

Currently, the educational process of the faculty is carried out in two buildings located in the center of Kamianets-Podilskyi, near the central building of the university. The advantage is the convenient location of the student dormitory: it takes up to 5 minutes walk to get to the faculty.

Highly qualified, experienced, responsive and attentive teachers, whose classes are interesting and exciting, work at the faculty. They are always happy to pass on their experience and knowledge to the next generation.

Our students’ university life is very active: scientific groups, sports sections, art groups have been created for them. Senior students introduce newcomers to the long-standing traditions of the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics, for example, students’ initiation, where, in addition to competitions and quests, first-year students receive cracker medals, which are sure to “bring luck” if you bite into it before the exam; it is desirable that the “cracker” was enough for all years of study.

After successful graduation, our students work as teachers of mathematics, physics, computer science and specialists in the field of computer science and information technology. The professional training of students is based on the development of a modern highly qualified personality and provides deep, thorough knowledge of mathematical, physical and computer sciences.
