The International Students’ Day is celebrated all around the world on November 17th. On the eve of this holiday a festive concert took place at the university. The event began with the anthem “Gaudeamus” performed by the laureate of international and all-Ukrainian artistic competitions of the folk choir “Melos” (artistic director and conductor – associate professor Liubov Martyniuk). The rector of the university Sergiy Kopylov congratulated the students with their holoday.
The national dance “Hopak” performed by the dancers of ensemble “Horlytsa” (the leader is Honoured Worker of Culture of Ukraine Volodymyr Sedin) pleased everyone. The vocal composition “Svit znan sviashchennyi” performed by students of the specialty “Music Art” has truly captured an audience. After composition, Petro Popel, a student of the Faculty of Physical Culture, gave a humorous “blessing” – 10 commandments of the student. Laureate of international and all-Ukrainian artistic competitions Oleh Fokshek, a student of the Faculty of Pedagogy, performed on the violin composition “Zhaivoronok” and was awarded with applause. The composition “Studentski roky” was prepared by the talented student of the Faculty of Nature Taras Vorobets. His performance he accompanied by playing guitar.
The team of the Ternopil League of Laugh “4×4” (students of the Faculty of Economics) and students of the Faculty of Pedagogy of the specialty Preschool Education who presented a humorous miniature “Zhinocha dolia duzhe skladna” made the audience laugh.
Extremely interesting were the performances of the student of the Faculty of Pedagogy Vasyl Pyrih with the song “Obiyumu”, the student of the Faculty of Foreign Philology Alona Balan with the song “Running”, the student of the Faculty of Nature Daryna Sheremeta with the song “Trymayi”, student of the Faculty of Foreign Philology Elvina Humeniuk, who performed the song “Poky molodi”, student of the Faculty of Foreign Philology Dariia Zabudko, who performed the song “Ostaniyi tanets” in French. With great affection was performed the song “Kohanniia” by Kateryna Kovtuniak, student of the Faculty of History. The song “Studenty – veseli luidy” was prepared by the students from various faculties of the university. The inflammatory dance “Cha-cha-cha” with her teacher, choreographer of the dance club “Uspich” Oleksandr Savchuk was performed by a student of the Faculty of Foreign Philology Myroslava Poberezhna. The real outrage was caused by a student of the faculty of foreign philology Viktoria Oliynyk, who performed the song “Toy”.
On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of our university a student of the Faculty of Physical Culture Serhii Chornyi performed a song “Ya – Ukrainy syn”. The celebration ended with a bright performance of the song “Ya bazhaiu Vam shchastia”, performed by the student of the Faculty of Nature Inna Baraniuk.
The charismatic leaders of the concert Denys Koshelev and Viktoriia Sarycheva sometimes humorous, sometimes seriously talk about student life, about why this time is one of the brightest and most important in every person’s life. They talked about student life as a time of carelessness, sometimes irresponsibility; that we fall in love quickly and often make mistakes, sometimes we are disappointed, but we always know that we have so much vitality and faith in the future, so much energy and enthusiasm that we can really change this world.
It is worth mentioning that on the eve of the festive concert a disco was a pleasant present for the students. Invited dj Mix Flanger turned the university dining room into a real nightclub with dynamic lighting, disco balls and smoke. Students have gotten extraordinary satisfaction from this event: they photographed, published “stories” in the Instagram, danced with enthusiasm and, of course, made new acquaintances. That’s the student life: booming, enthusiastic, fleeting, and incredibly happy.
